I’ve been working in the animal community since 2019. There are few things as rewarding as the relationship between a pet and their family, the health and development of which is the focus of my work. Read on to see how previous clients have found my methods educational, fun and successful.
Granite, Jason, and Alex
Our dog Granite is a somewhat challenging puppy who is high-energy, and always wants to play. Deetje has done a fantastic job watching him, supervising, helping train him and connecting with him. One could not be in more capable hands. Deetje has also shown such a genuine passion and connection with our dog Granite. We are so grateful to her dedication, reliability, thoughtfulness and excellence. Thank you Deetje!

I cannot say enough good things about Deetje (DJ). She is not only knowledgeable, but she is kind, humble, and passionate. The love she has for animals is unreal. She exceeded my expectations of what it means to be a good trainer. I have met plenty of amazing trainers, but NOBODY even comes close to Deetje. My puppy, Azula, is a herding breed and while she is very smart, she has so much energy. I remember being overwhelmed at first, so many things to learn and I felt I was failing her, but DJ reminded me that this is a process and that she was more than happy to answer any and all my questions. She answers all my questions and will even call me to make sure I understand/we cover all our bases. I think the best thing of all, is I can FEEL that she genuinely loves what she does- with every session, I feel like I have replaced multiple group classes. I have had DJ in both group classes and private sessions as well, she has made me a better owner, and Azula absolutely adores her. I cannot stress this enough, but DJ is not only a trainer but a friend. I quite literally have never written a Yelp review, but DJ deserves more recognition. We've had over 10+ sessions and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon.

Our family has had the pleasure of Deetje’s dog walking and training services for all three (3) of our Labs – Buddy, Sam and Stella for nearly seven (7) years now.
She is hard-working, honest, dependable and has a special gift with dogs. I highly recommend her.
All of our dogs just adored her, and we were so very pleased with how she interacted and cared for our dogs.
She is truly something special.
